Wasena Project

Exposing beautiful hardwood floors is essential in older homes.  They provide a natural warmth all their own.  We opened up this room to allow traffic flow through the many doorways.

Painting and cleaning up this focal point (fire place) is critical.  Create a cozy reading spot close to your focal point when possible.

We removed the large cabinets in this room, took one out, while using the other in a bedroom.  The homeowner borrowed furniture from her parent's home to complete the seating areas in the home.  Curtains for the home didn't fit into the budget.

Fortunately for the homeowner, the kitchen was tastefully updated before she moved in.  It is bright and cheerful.

The dining room had a new coat of wine colored paint when the home was purchased a few years ago.  Due to budgetary constraints we chose to take advantage of her large table and covered it with our custom made cream table cloth.  We removed dark furnishings and added a cream colored small side table.  Mirrors were used to reflect as much light as possible.

Buyers need to see a purpose to rooms.  Even though the suggestions of a bedroom existed, it's best to go all out and create an inviting room anyone could retreat to.

We brought in a few items from down stairs and created a nice vanity with mirror.

This small long room served as a multi purpose room with a chair and ottoman hidden beneath clothes and other things.  Look what we uncovered.  We brought up a table and lamp - and walla - a sitting room.

This bathroom is rather narrow but sports beautiful tile on the floors.  We kept things simple by adding as much white to the palette as possible.

The homeowner spent much time in the office working from home.  But she also spent much time de-cluttering and opening up this rather small room.  After hours of hard work, it now shows beautifully.
Packing things up early makes such a difference when showing a home, but it also aides in simplifying the move when the time comes.   This homeowner is ready to go.
This older home has a wonderful, bright sunroom that overlooks the back yard.  We defined its purpose by creating an eating area in one end.
The other end now offers an inviting sitting area to chat with friends or to read the morning paper.
This garage is shared by two families and in need of some work.  Even though you can't do anything about the one half, you CAN do something about the other.  The homeowner took our advice to clean up and paint their half of the garage.  What a difference it makes!
Simple additions such as a handrail, makes a huge difference to some buyers.  Why not put a small expense into adding something that is so useful to anyone going up a narrow staircase.  We were thrilled to come in the next day to see the addition of the railing we suggested.

The exterior (front) of the home's transformation is on our Exterior page.
