Here are some things to think about to keep from throwing away used items and buying new:

  • Why not down-size your bed linens instead of buying new ones?  Make a twin set out of a queen or king.

  • Turn an old queen or king sheet into a shower curtain, valance, pillows, etc.

  • Custom match place mats, table runners, and napkins for a festive look.

  • Reuse old flat bed pillows to make newer, smaller throw pillows for the bed.

  • Reuse old mattress pad covers as the center filling for placemats, hot pads, chair cushions, or table protectors.

  • Old jeans are great to make purses out of, hot pads, totes, pillows, or quilts.

  • Create an art piece for the wall by taking interesting fabric and stretching it around a frame.

We are equipped with all the equipment to create beautiful window treatments for your home.  Whether you're looking for window cornices, valences, or long or short drapes, we can provide you with quality made lined and unlined coverings to coordinate with your decor. 
From small project, such as business card holders you can FIND in the bottom of your purse, to larger upholstery projects, we'll customize projects tailored with your needs in mind.

 

We carefully fold and pleat long draperies so they hold their shape once hung.
Window treatments add warmth, color and function to a room.  These particular drapes (right) were room-darkening to block the southern sun from heating the room in summer.
We use high quality fabrics in our projects.  But we don't just stop there, we use a lot of recycled fabrics from dresses, skirts, canvas, bedding, and more to create the look you desire.  Imagine a simple bulletin board (left) with fun fabric for a child's room.
Our favorite fabrics to work with? 

Batiks!  But our second favorites are denim, tapestry, leather and Cordura.  If it can be sewn, we can sew it.

We'll create pillow with or without a welt edge trim and we'll do the same for bench and seat cushions.
